Short Term Counseling
Short-term counseling is available to cancer patients or family
members at The Victory Center, for the purpose of helping
individuals identify and implement coping strategies during the
cancer journey. Frequently, old methods of coping are no longer
sufficient or effective when a diagnosis of cancer is received.
Cancer patients and family members may need professional
assistance and support for emotional or psychological challenges
as they move into the cancer journey. The goals of short-term
therapy are to assess the individual’s needs and to assist him
or her in connecting to local resources for additional support.
Up to three appointments are available to each individual in
order to achieve these goals. |
