PURPOSE
To nourish and comfort the body, mind and spirit during the fight against cancer
MISSION
The Victory Center supports and educates cancer patients and those closest to them by providing individual and group programs and services in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
PHILOSOPHY
We believe …
- no one should have to face a diagnosis of cancer alone
- cancer patients and their families can benefit from non-medical programs and services in addition to their medical treatment
- there is a connection between our mind and our body and that they serve as partners
- the needs of all cancer patients are not alike and our programs should be participant-driven
- cancer patients take comfort from the understanding that comes from being with others who share the same experience
- no person should be turned away due to inability to pay
- it is our responsibility to collaborate with other community services to best meet participants’ diverse needs
